Bolt is a popular film for children, about an adorable super hero pup named Bolt. If your child loves the film, throw him or her a Bolt themed surprise party!
First, use clip-art to produce Bolt inspired invitations. They can be shaped like dog bones or like dog tags, with the child's name on the dog tag. You can get these from any good party store.
The cake will also need to be Bolt inspired with a picture of the pooch and his friends on the cake. Children love cupcakes, so you can provide dog treat-shaped cupcakes as well.
For games have the children pin the tail on Bolt or on Mitten, the cat. Have the Bolt soundtrack playing in the background, or even have children sit down to watch the film. To keep the children from getting bored during the movie, feed them Trail Mix and call it, "puppy chow." Once the movie is over, hold a scavenger hunt and have the children look for hidden dog-related prizes at the party location. Visit the toy store and buy a selection of stuffed toy dogs, 'dog collars' (kiddie bracelets), or children's and coloring books on the subject of dogs.
For a party favor, give all the children their very own collar to wear during the party, complete with their name. Of course, it wouldn't be a real dog collar, just a sparkly necklace from the toy store. It can be made out of beads or even string. Give them a little bag of Bolt party favors, and maybe even a little stuffed Bolt toy.
You can throw your child a wonderful Bolt inspired birthday party. All it takes is a little creativity!
